The best time of year to visit Lagoa do Tibas is during the rainy season, between January and May, when the lagoon reaches its highest water level and offers an especially breathtaking landscape. During the dry season, water levels are significantly lower.

How To Get There:
To reach Lagoa do Tibas, visitors may choose to hire a specialized tour agency or take a self-guided trip via PI-116, the road that provides access to the lagoon. The assistance of a certified tour guide is the best way to avoid getting lost. Access to the lagoon is done through the dunes using 4×4 vehicles, buggies, quad bikes, or other off-road vehicles, each offering a different type of experience. Prices vary depending on the chosen vehicle, the company and the number of people. If you are already in Barra Grande and wish to visit Lagoa do Tibas, you can travel by car via BR-402 (approximately 58.8 km) or take PI-116, which covers a distance of about 54 km.
